1. Who We Are
Scientific Nexus (scientificnexussite@gmail.com) is an independent, personally operated browser gaming platform hosted at scientificnexus.net. The platform is built and maintained by a single developer based in Pakistan. It is not a registered company.
When we say "we", "us", or "our" in this document, we mean the operator of Scientific Nexus. When we say "you" or "your", we mean any visitor or registered user of the platform.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- Google Account Data: When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google display name, email address, and profile photo URL from Firebase Authentication. We do not receive your Google password.
- Username: You may create a custom username on the platform, which is stored in Cloud Firestore and is publicly visible to other signed-in users.
- Profile Avatar: You may optionally upload a profile picture. This is stored in Firebase Storage.
- Chat & Review Messages: Any text you submit in the Social Hub, private chats, or the Global Feedback Hub is stored in Cloud Firestore. Public posts are visible to all signed-in users.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Firebase may collect basic usage telemetry (page visits, error events). This is used for platform diagnostics only.
- Advertising Cookies: Google AdSense uses cookies (including the DART cookie) to serve and personalise advertisements on the platform. See Section 5 for full details.
- IP Address: Your IP address may be logged by Vercel (our hosting provider) for security and abuse prevention purposes. We do not store or process IP addresses ourselves.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect payment information of any kind.
- We do not collect game scores, play history, or individual game session data.
- We do not build advertising profiles on users beyond what Google AdSense operates independently.
- We do not use tracking pixels, social media trackers, or fingerprinting technologies.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate your account: Your email, username, and avatar are used to identify you within the platform and display your profile to other users.
- To run community features: Chat messages, reviews, and ally relationships are stored to enable the Social Hub, private messaging, and Feedback Hub features.
- To moderate the platform: In cases of reported abuse or harassment, we may review stored messages to enforce our Terms of Service.
- To improve the platform: Aggregate, non-personal usage patterns may be reviewed to understand how the platform is used and identify issues.
- We do not: sell your data, share it with advertisers, use it for AI training, or use it for any purpose not listed here.
4. Firebase — Data Storage
Scientific Nexus uses the following Google Firebase services to store and manage user data:
- Firebase Authentication: Manages sign-in via Google. Stores your UID, email address, display name, and photo URL.
- Cloud Firestore: Stores your username, profile settings, chat messages, review posts, and ally relationships.
- Firebase Storage: Stores any profile avatar image you choose to upload.
Firebase is a product of Google LLC. Data stored in Firebase is subject to Google's data processing terms. You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
Firebase data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Storage locations may include servers in the United States or other countries operated by Google.
5. Google AdSense & Advertising Cookies
Scientific Nexus uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense is operated by Google LLC. By visiting this platform, Google may place advertising cookies in your browser, including the DART cookie, which allows Google to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
How to opt out: You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies by visiting aboutads.info/choices. Opting out will not remove ads from the platform, but the ads displayed will no longer be personalised.
Scientific Nexus does not control the cookies placed by Google AdSense. We receive revenue from ad impressions but do not receive any personal data about individual users from Google in connection with those ads.
6. Third-Party Services
Scientific Nexus integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy that governs how your data is handled on their end.
- Google Firebase — user accounts and data storage. Firebase Privacy Policy

- GameDistribution — HTML5 game embeds. Games are embedded via iframe. GameDistribution may set its own cookies within the game frame. GameDistribution Privacy Policy
- Vercel — website hosting. Vercel logs basic access data for security and performance. Vercel Privacy Policy
- Google Fonts & Font Awesome — fonts and icons loaded from CDN. These services may log your IP address as part of the CDN request.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The Scientific Nexus gaming platform is accessible to users of all ages. However, the community features (Social Hub, private chat, ally system, review posting) require a Google account to use.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent, in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you are under 13, please do not create an account or submit any personal information through the platform's community features.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has created an account on this platform, please contact us at scientificnexussite@gmail.com and we will delete the account and all associated data promptly.
8. GDPR — Rights for EU Residents
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: You may request that inaccurate data be corrected. You can update your username and avatar directly within the platform at any time.
- Right to Erasure: You may request that we delete all personal data associated with your account. Submit your request to scientificnexussite@gmail.com.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You may request that we limit how we use your data while a request is being resolved.
- Right to Data Portability: You may request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Right to Object: You may object to the processing of your data where our legal basis is legitimate interest.
The legal basis for processing your data is your consent (provided by signing in and using the platform) and our legitimate interest in operating the community features. To exercise any of the above rights, email scientificnexussite@gmail.com.
9. CCPA — Rights for California Residents
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, and the purposes for which it is used.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. To do so, email scientificnexussite@gmail.com.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Exercising your rights will not result in different pricing, service quality, or access to platform features.
- Do Not Sell My Personal Information: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Google AdSense may use cookies for targeted advertising; you can opt out as described in Section 5.
10. Data Retention
- Account data (email, username, avatar) is retained for as long as your account exists on the platform.
- Chat messages and reviews are stored in Firestore indefinitely unless you or we delete them.
- On account deletion, all profile data, chat history, and reviews associated with your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days of the request.
- Firebase Authentication data is deleted in accordance with Google's data retention policies upon account removal.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. All data is stored within Google Firebase, which operates industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest.
However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted over the internet. You use the platform at your own risk.
You are responsible for keeping your Google account credentials secure. Scientific Nexus does not have access to your Google password.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Significant changes will be communicated via the platform or via email to registered users where practical.
Continued use of the platform after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
